When storage is scarce and there is no place to put it, it’s time to get creative. Set your double vanity out from the wall a little bit and add some hidden storage behind your mirrors. It will come in handy when there is no other space for shelves.
It seems like double vanities have fallen in and out of style throughout the years. For a while, you wouldn’t find a bathroom without a double vanity. Then they were really only seen in children’s bathrooms with all those little toothbrushes littering the countertop. And now, they’re back. Lucky for all of us! Having a double vanity in your bathroom can not only be convenient, it can double your storage space as well. Suddenly you gain lots of surface space as well as cabinetry for all those adult bathroom essentials.
As it turns out, there’s more consider before choosing marble for the bathroom than just the looks. The fact that marble requires constant maintenance and care is just one of the details. There’s also quality and price to think about. Although it’s true that this has become an affordable material lately, there’s only so much marble in the world and not all of it is of good quality. If you want it for your marble tile shower or bathroom counter, some say that the closer to Italy and Greece that marble is sourced, the better it holds up in a wet environment. If you’re convinced that marble is the best choice of material for your bathroom, perhaps you can find inspiration from what these architects and designers created.
A bathroom needs to be both well-stocked and organized and one way to deal with both these requirements is by crafting a storage box in which you can keep things like extra toilet paper rolls, hand towels, moisturizer and other supplies. The project (which we found on ourkidthings) starts with a simple cardboard box. The first step is to wrap rope all around the exterior of the box, using glue to keep it in place. Then the interior needs to be lined up with some fabric. If you want, you can also add some ribbon for a touch of color.
